Long time listener, first time caller.

My name is Mike Phillips. I'm from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. I think that I might post things here from time to time. Things that I think are funny. Who knows if anyone else will think that they're funny, but I'll post stuff here nonetheless.

Why? I may never do anything like stand-up or be an SNL writer, so I figured that, if I ever think of something that is funny (to me), someone else might find it funny too, so I'll just post it online. Maybe someday, someone will stumble upon this place and have a laugh. That'd be cool.

Anywho, here goes my first stab:

When I go to see a comedy at the movie theater, I find it hilarious (and annoying at the same time) that there are some people in the crowd who laugh at the four jokes they already saw in the trailer a couple of times over the past few weeks. Are these jokes still laugh-out-loud funny? They can't be, can they? They aren't to me. They got me in the seat. They did their job. They still might get me to smirk, but these people still laugh, laugh, laugh. And then that makes me laugh because I'm thinking that these people must be really dumb.

Actually, now that I'm really thinking about this, maybe I'm part of the problem because now I appear to be laughing at these jokes too. Maybe I'm pissing someone else off...

Yikes.
